Clapp oscillator
ELECTRONIC OSCILLATOR
Gouriet oscillator
The Clapp oscillator or Gouriet oscillator is an LC electronic oscillator that uses a particular combination of an inductor and three capacitors to set the oscillator's frequency. LC oscillators use a transistor (or vacuum tube or other gain element) and a positive feedback network.
Quantum harmonic oscillator
  • Time evolution of the probability distribution (and phase, shown as color) of a coherent state with |''α''|=3.
  • Superposition of three oscillating dipoles- illustrate the time propagation of the common wave function for different n,l,m

QUANTUM MECHANICAL MODEL OF A PARTICLE IN A HARMONIC POTENTIAL WELL
Quantum vibration; QHO; Quantum mechanical harmonic oscillator; Quadratic potential; Harmonic potential; Quantum oscillator; Harmonic oscillator (quantum); Quantum-mechanical harmonic oscillator; Time-dependent quantum harmonic oscillator with an applied linear electric field; Linear harmonic oscillator; Quantum harmonic oscillators
The quantum harmonic oscillator is the quantum-mechanical analog of the classical harmonic oscillator. Because an arbitrary smooth potential can usually be approximated as a harmonic potential at the vicinity of a stable equilibrium point, it is one of the most important model systems in quantum mechanics.
Optical parametric oscillator
  • Infrared optical parametric oscillator
  • KTP]] crystals in an OPO
PARAMETRIC OSCILLATOR THAT OSCILLATES AT OPTICAL FREQUENCIES
Optical Parametric Oscillator; Optical parametric oscillation
An optical parametric oscillator (OPO) is a parametric oscillator that oscillates at optical frequencies. It converts an input laser wave (called "pump") with frequency \omega_p into two output waves of lower frequency (\omega_s, \omega_i) by means of second-order nonlinear optical interaction.
Dynatron oscillator
  • Dynatron oscillator circuit
ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT THAT DO NOT USE FEEDBACK TO GENERATE OSCILLATIONS, BUT NEGATIVE RESISTANCE
NDR oscillator; Transitron oscillator
In electronics, the dynatron oscillator, invented in 1918 by Albert Hull at General Electric, is an obsolete vacuum tube electronic oscillator circuit which uses a negative resistance characteristic in early tetrode vacuum tubes, caused by a process called secondary emission. on Peter Millet's Tubebooks website It was the first negative resistance vacuum tube oscillator.

Fully automatic time

Fully automatic time (abbreviated FAT) is a form of race timing in which the clock is automatically activated by the starting device, and the finish time is either automatically recorded, or timed by analysis of a photo finish. The system is commonly used in track and field as well as athletic performance testing, horse racing, dog racing, bicycle racing, rowing and auto racing. In these fields a photo finish is used. It is also used in competitive swimming, for which the swimmers themselves record a finish time by touching a touchpad at the end of a race. In order to verify the equipment, or in case of failure, a backup system (typically manual) is usually used in addition to FAT.
